10 days @ weipa

if you just wanna see pics, click here.

the soil in weipa is red. this is due to the plentiful amount of bauxite (aluminium ore) in it. people mostly wear orange, who else but the rio tinto guys in their ppe.

you could see it everywhere

because weipa is located at the west coast of queensland (there aint many cities/towns at west coast if you look at the map, well, queensland is at east coast of australia, that’s why), we can see beautiful sunset here.

sunset from the motel

the main recreation activity here is fishing. it’s not surprising to find a boat in every house. with view so nice and beaches at short distances, there’s no reason not to get out to the sea and enjoy what nature got to offer.

isnt it?

on one wet day morning, i found a frog on the chair just outside my room, and when i came back from site, it was still there. this is the first time i saw such a green frog.

a kiss and a prince maybe?

on friday night, there’s live music in the restaurant. oh man, i just love it. it was awesome.

she’s playing piano and singing

work-related, here’s the big mess.

anyone wanna swim?

but of course it’s solved already.

not bad afterall
